About Fraction Servers
Fraction Servers was setup in 2020 as a low cost dedicated server brand of UK Dedicated Servers Limited with a view to providing unmanaged dedicated servers at low prices.
Our parent company UK Servers has been providing managed dedicated server solutions since 2004 and now hosts over 4,000 servers across three datacentre sites.
Among the principles for Fraction Servers we wanted to ensure that:
- Support to our customers is provided by onsite 24/7/365 technicians from our own datacentres meaning no middlemen or 3rd parties involved in service provision.
- All members of staff are from a technical background ensuring you can always speak to someone able to understand your requirements.
- We run and operate as much as our own infrastructure as possible giving full control over the services we offer to customers.
Fraction Servers owns and operates its own datacentre in Coventry, UK and also offers dedicated servers within Telehouse in the London Docklands.
Our Coventry datacentre boasts the following specification:
- 2N+1 — UPS Systems (A+B/C Power to Each Rack)
- 24/7/365 Onsite Security Staff with Single Point of Entry
- n+2 Backup diesel generator Power
- VESDA Smoke Detection
Whilst Telehouse North 2 offers the following:
- 132kv Grid Substation
- Dual Redundant and Diverse Incoming Power Feeds
- Industry Leading PuE of 1.16 in an N+2 cooling configuration
- Telehouse campus is the primary home of the London Internet Exchange (LINX) giving servers at this site ultra low latency often required for FX, share trading platforms and domain name services.
Fraction Servers operates its own high speed Juniper MX powered network spanning multiple UK datacentres, designed for redundancy, speed and security. All of our UK sites have multiple failover routes to the internet with all intersite connections at a minimum of 100Gb/s.
We have over 1Tbps of Tier-1 transit capacity, 2Tbps of private peering and 350Gbps+ of public IXP peering. Our private peering partners include Cloudflare, Meta, Amazon, Google, Apple and CDN77, alongside ISP peering with Sky, BT, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, Eircom and more.
The entire network is dual IPv4/IPv6 stacked with Juniper EX series virtual chassis switches at the core.
We have our own staff at our datacentres 24/7/365 offering email and ticket-based support. We only use Supermicro server platforms with Intel processors ensuring proven reliability.
All customers benefit from up to 200Gb/s of 'On Demand' DDoS protection using in-house Corero filtering devices included at no additional cost.
Remote Management Access including KVM, Reboot, Monitoring and Remote ISO/Drives are available through Supermicro IPMI on all servers.
